Here to satisfy your picture-thirsty souls- many days worth of pictures.

First of all, thanks to Rena for sharing her picture of the day- Fried Pickles

A crazy week for me, as rehearsals for the musical I'm in began and I really jumped in full swing to my new extra busy schedule. Here are some of the highlights:

Top Left: Who is cool enough to have black and pink Nike's with her name on the back? Why, Gaia, of course!

Top Right: A good reminder to us all, right? Taken with my new zoom lens while driving home from teaching a guitar lesson. So I was actually sitting in my car and able to zoom up that close!

Middle Left: I spent some time on my lunch break doing a photo shoot with geese, during which I stepped in what may or may not have been goose poop. (I'm pretty sure it was mud, though). There's still some ice in the giant field where the geese were and this leaf was there frozen in the snow.

Middle Right: On the way to work on Friday I found myself stuck in gridlock traffic trying to merge onto the highway. So what did I do? I pulled out my camera. There's huge construction happening here, and I took pictures of some of the interesting sites, like this beauty, which looks more like a piece of art to me.

January 12-

My many apologies for making you wait so long for another picture. That being said, here is my picture of the day:

Imagine the scene- I'm driving to work, and find myself behind this car. It's interesting enough, what with its myriad of bumper stickers- the kind that make you drive so closely to the car so that you can read all of them that it really becomes a safety hazard. So, as I'm driving, learning that the driver likes both dogs and women, I catch a glimpse of little fluffy himself in the back window. Do you see him there? His head was poised so perfectly at one point, and he was so still that I thought that he was a large ceramic figurine. And just at that time his head moved. A perfect dog, lying in the back window of this car. I couldn't help but think that that's probably not the safest place for a dog to travel.

January 3-

I spent a lot of time today with my hairdresser, Nick, getting my hair highlighted and cut. We talked about everything from As Seen on TV products to if most actors are extraverts or introverts. We discussed reading, the advantages of new technology like the Nook and the Kindle, and why his son's favorite Christmas toy is the Mr. Potato Head. I love that he has something to say on most topics, and seems to be interested in whatever interests you!

I am now the proud owner of a zoom lens which will hopefully make my pictures much more interesting. But before purchasing the lens, I became the proud owner of a pink Snuggie. What they don't tell you in the commercials is that the Snuggie is a ridiculous conductor of static electricity. I did my best to capture the sparks by using a really slow shutter speed in the dark.

The most interesting thing I saw today was definitely a pimp at a Chile's in suburban Virginia. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a good shot of him. The most accurate shot of how I spent my day would have been the one I took of a screen shot of The Twilight Zone. I've spent most of the day napping on and off to the Twilight Zone marathon on the Science Fiction Channel. But, here is my most interesting shot of the day:

Have you heard the saying, "When the cat's away, the mice will play"? Well, apparently, when the humans are away the cats will play, too. I went by to check on Malcolm for some friends only to find that Malcolm's idea of fun is pulling the toilet rug into the middle of the living room floor.
